Best and Worst Careers for 2006

For those of you wondering whether you should be a firefighter or an attorney, what article you can email your newly graduated son or daughter, or how highly or poorly your current line of work is rated according to an expert, check out this article by Marty Nemko, the career coach for U.S. News and World Report.

I think he does a good job pointing out the potential pitfalls that you maybe hadn't thought about (in careers such as architect and marketer/advertising executive for example), and he also includes links to more information about each career.

So many people rely on popular opinion and untested assumptions when they are considering careers. This article is a reminder to talk to actual people who are doing the job before committing yourself to a plan!
