Can a Recruiter Help You?

Often I'm asked by job seekers whether they should contact a recruiter to help them with their search.

CareerHub has an excellent post today that answers that question and discusses how to create mutually beneficial relationships with recruiters.

In a nutshell, recruiters are paid by companies to fill positions, not to get you a job. They are not so interested in your career plan but rather how well you fit into their needs at the time.

But by all means consider using them as one of your strategies since they do know where some of the open jobs are!
